Email marketing

Turn past customers into repeat jobs.

Your customer list is the most underused asset you own. The homeowner who hired you once is the cheapest lead you'll ever get — if you stay in touch instead of disappearing after the invoice.

$500/month. Available as an add-on to either package.

The problem

The money sitting in your old invoices

Most contractors spend everything on finding new customers and nothing on the ones they already have. That's backwards: past customers already trust you, already know your work, and already have your number — somewhere.

Past customers forget your name

The homeowner who loved their new fence three years ago can't remember who built it. When the next project comes up, they search Google — and you pay to win back a customer you already had.

Seasonal work goes to whoever reminds them

Spring sealing, fall prep, annual maintenance — homeowners mean to book these and forget. The contractor who sends the reminder gets the job; everyone else never knew it existed.

Referrals need a nudge

Happy customers refer you when you come to mind. Staying in their inbox keeps you in the conversation when a neighbor asks who did their driveway.

Email is not glamorous, but the math is hard to argue with: it costs far less to bring back a past customer than to win a new one, and the list is yours forever.

What’s included

What the service covers

Two campaigns a month plus automations that run themselves.

Two campaigns a month

Written, designed and sent for you — project showcases, seasonal reminders, maintenance tips and offers worth opening.

Seasonal reminder automations

Spring sealing, fall prep, maintenance intervals — automatic emails timed to when each job comes due, year after year.

List setup and cleanup

Your customer list organized, deduplicated and imported properly, with consent handled the right way.

Emails in your voice

Plain, useful, local. The kind of email a homeowner actually reads — not a corporate newsletter.

Review and referral asks

Campaigns that turn your happiest customers into reviews and referrals, timed to when goodwill is highest.

Monthly report

Opens, clicks and the jobs that came back — reported in plain language, tied to revenue where we can.

How it works

Getting started

Your list, our system, live within weeks.

  1. 1

    Build the list

We gather your past customers from invoices, your CRM or a spreadsheet — however they exist today — and import them cleanly.

  2. 2

    Set the calendar

Campaigns and seasonal automations are mapped to your trade's year, so the right reminder lands before the season, not after.

  3. 3

    Send and improve

Campaigns go out twice a month. The report shows what your list responds to, and each send gets sharper.

The list you already paid for

Think about what it cost to win each of your past customers — the ads, the referrals, the years of reputation. Every one of those relationships is an asset, and right now most of them are sitting idle. A homeowner who hired you once is dramatically more likely to hire you again than a stranger is to hire you at all, but only if they remember your name at the moment the next project comes up.

That is the entire job of this service: making sure your name is in their inbox a few times a year with something worth reading, so the moment their neighbor asks for a recommendation or their own next project surfaces, you are the obvious call. It is the cheapest repeat business you will ever earn, and the list stays yours no matter what.

From 2 leads a month to 10

For established firms like J.A. Cuzzupe — 45+ years of past customers — the list is a goldmine most contractors never touch.

Excavation, utility & concrete

From 2 leads a month to 10

J.A. Cuzzupe Inc. — excavation, utility & concrete · Cherry Hill, NJ

The rebuilt J.A. Cuzzupe Inc. website shown on desktop, tablet and phone

Starting point. J.A. Cuzzupe has been doing excavation, utility and concrete work across New Jersey since 1979. Family-founded, 45+ crew, NJLICA member. Forty-five years of reputation — and a website that was quietly turning it away.

What we built. A new site built around how their customers actually decide — which service, how urgent, and can I reach someone now.

What the numbers said

Their old site took 5.2 seconds to load on a phone. Roughly half of mobile visitors leave before a page that slow finishes rendering — and mobile is where most contractor searches happen.

Of the few who stayed, 0.8% did anything about it. Of the people who started the contact form, 88% abandoned it before submitting.

Two leads a month, from a firm with forty-five years of work behind it. The problem was never the reputation. It was everything between a Google search and the phone ringing.

What we built

Fast on mobile, because that’s where the traffic is. A shorter form that asks only what’s needed to route the job. Click-to-call on every screen, because a homeowner with a flooded basement is not filling in a form. Separate paths for homeowners and general contractors, who want completely different things. And a structure Google could read, so each of their five service areas had a page that could rank.

FAQ

Questions about email marketing

My customer list is a mess of spreadsheets and paper. Can you still help?
Yes — that's normal. Part of setup is gathering and cleaning whatever you have: invoices, estimates, old email exports. Even a few hundred past customers is a list worth working.
Won't customers unsubscribe or get annoyed?
Some will, and that's fine — an uninterested subscriber costs you nothing. The emails are useful and infrequent: two a month, plus seasonal reminders for work they actually need. Relevant email gets read; spam gets ignored. We send the former.
What would you even email about?
Seasonal maintenance reminders, project showcases, tips that position you as the local expert, and occasional offers. The goal is being the name they remember when the next job comes up — not selling hard every send.
Is this included in the packages?
It's an add-on to either package at $500/month. Email pays best once the rest of the system is bringing in customers — it turns each one into repeat work and referrals.
How do you measure whether it's working?
Opens and clicks tell part of the story, but the real measure is repeat bookings and referrals. We ask new leads how they found you, and the monthly report ties the list back to actual work wherever possible.
