Contractors

Websites for contractors, built the way your customers actually buy.

Your customer is standing in a flooded basement holding a phone. They are not browsing. We build for that.

How people actually find a contractor

Nobody researches excavation companies for fun.

They search when something is broken, or when a project has a deadline. That changes what a website has to do.

  • They search on a phone, usually outside, often in a hurry
  • They compare two or three companies in about ninety seconds
  • They want to know you handle their specific job before anything else
  • They want to call, not fill in a form — unless calling feels like a commitment
  • If your site takes five seconds to load, they are already looking at the next result

What we build differently for trades

What we build differently for trades

01 / SPEED

Fast, because they're on a phone

Most contractor sites are built desktop-first and load slowly on mobile. That's backwards for this industry.

02 / SERVICE CLARITY

The job they have, named

Separate pages for each service, so someone searching "french drain installation" lands on a page about french drains, not a homepage.

03 / URGENCY

Click-to-call everywhere

Tap-to-call on every screen, plus a clear emergency path if you offer one. A form is the wrong ask for an urgent job.

04 / TWO AUDIENCES

Homeowners and GCs

They want completely different things. Homeowners want reassurance; general contractors want capability and scheduling. One page cannot serve both well.

05 / TRUST

Licensing, insurance, years

Contractors get chosen on credibility. Licence numbers, insurance, association memberships and years in business belong above the fold, not on an About page.

06 / SERVICE AREA

Where you actually work

Clear coverage so you stop fielding calls from ninety minutes away.

J.A. Cuzzupe Inc. — excavation, utility & concrete · Cherry Hill, NJ

The rebuilt J.A. Cuzzupe Inc. website shown on desktop, tablet and phone

Starting point. J.A. Cuzzupe has been doing excavation, utility and concrete work across New Jersey since 1979. Family-founded, 45+ crew, NJLICA member. Forty-five years of reputation — and a website that was quietly turning it away.

What we built. A new site built around how their customers actually decide — which service, how urgent, and can I reach someone now.

What the numbers said

Their old site took 5.2 seconds to load on a phone. Roughly half of mobile visitors leave before a page that slow finishes rendering — and mobile is where most contractor searches happen.

Of the few who stayed, 0.8% did anything about it. Of the people who started the contact form, 88% abandoned it before submitting.

Two leads a month, from a firm with forty-five years of work behind it. The problem was never the reputation. It was everything between a Google search and the phone ringing.

What we built

Fast on mobile, because that’s where the traffic is. A shorter form that asks only what’s needed to route the job. Click-to-call on every screen, because a homeowner with a flooded basement is not filling in a form. Separate paths for homeowners and general contractors, who want completely different things. And a structure Google could read, so each of their five service areas had a page that could rank.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

Do you work with contractors outside Pennsylvania?
Yes. We're based in Chester County, PA and work across Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, plus remotely beyond that. Our most recent contractor build was for an excavation company in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
We get most of our work from referrals. Do we even need a website?
Referrals still check you online before they call. A slow or dated site doesn't stop a strong referral, but it does cost you the ones who were only half sure. It also means you have no second channel when referrals slow down.
Our trucks and crews are the marketing. Does a website change anything?
Only if people can find you when the truck isn't parked outside. A website is what works when your reputation hasn't reached someone yet.
How long does a contractor website take to build?
Two to six weeks. About two hours of your time up front, then a check-in as we go. We work around your schedule — most of our contractor clients are on site during the day.
Can you set it up so emergency calls come through faster?
Yes. Emergency and after-hours paths are separated from standard enquiries, so an urgent job doesn't sit in the same queue as a quote request.
